Zvartnots International Airport is the main air gateway to Armenia. According to correspondence to international standards, it is the airport number one is South Caucasus. The airport got its name from near situated early medieval Armenian architectural memorial Zvartnots, which became an important sight in Armenia and one of the symbols of tourism. The memorial is included into UNESCO World Heritage List.
